DNEL (Derived No Effect Level) values represent the maximum level of exposure to a chemical substance for humans and are necessary values for Risk Characterization included in Chemical Safety Assessment. These DNEL values are established for specific population groups, such as workers or users, and are calculated specifically for each route of exposure, meaning that the same substance may have different DNEL values. To calculate DNEL values, it is necessary to collect toxicological information and information on local and systemic effects and the mode of action of the substance. Specific DNEL values for each substance will be calculated based on toxicological values and applying different adjustment factors.
