COSMETIC PRODUCT TOXICOLOGY

According to Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009, the marketing of cosmetic products requires an assessment of product safety. Thus, based on the available information on the quantitative and qualitative composition of the product, its physicochemical and microbiological characteristics, the estimated exposure to substances, and their toxicological profile, a conclusion can be drawn about the toxicological and safety profile of the cosmetic product. At Dalia Global, we have a team of toxicologists who are experts in the safety assessment of cosmetic products based on Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009.

As indicated in Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009, in order to market cosmetic products, it is necessary to prepare a product information file for registration. This dossier consists of technical documentation on manufacturing methods and compliance with GMP, as well as a cosmetic product safety assessment report which evaluates the safety of the cosmetic product for the patient based on the toxicological information of the components and their estimated exposure. At Dalia Global, we have a team of toxicologists who are experts in preparing cosmetic product information files based on Regulation EC 1223/2009.

In order to ensure consumer safety, cosmetic products are subject to extensive regulation not only by health agencies but also by local regulations (ULTA List, California Proposition 65, etc…).

At Dalia Global, we have toxicologists and regulatory experts capable of qualitatively and quantitatively verifying the compliance of cosmetic formulations with these local regulations.
